This training is dedicated to the approaches, technologies and instruments in development of visual elements that users see and interact with in a web application, or in other words, Front-end Development. It is designed for students who have programming skills and the basic understanding of web technologies.

ABOUT TRAINING:

Learn to build and program modern web interfaces, start a successful career in IT, and hone your skills from a junior to a jedi!
This training will teach you software development in one of the most popular programming languages – JavaScript. You will learn how to write applications in JavaScript and will get a solid knowledge of all principal programming concepts, such as variables, data types, conditions, cycles, functions, arrays, objects, OOP, and more. Most importantly, you will learn how to solve real life tasks that programmers face. With JavaScript, you can bring any of your ideas to life, from 3-D games, server and web applications (such as VK, MS Office, and Google Music) to applications for IOS and Android, and programming for microcontrollers. With maximum creativity, you will be able to use JS to create sites with complex layout, animation and interaction.
If you want to know the latest in front-end technologies, this is the training for you!


PLACE AND TIME:

This training takes place at a joint RGU-EPAM lab (Svobody 46, room 24, RGU’s main block) and a joint RGRTU-EPAM lab (Gagarina 59, room 110, RGRTU’s main block, or room 209, RGRTU’s lab block).


REQUIRED SKILLED:

  • General knowledge of information technologies;
  • Understanding of data structures (arrays, queues, stacks, lists, etc);
  • Programming experience (course, lab, research, or other work) in any high-level language (C#, Java, C/C++, Delphi, Pascal, etc);
  • English for understanding technical documentation and for basic communication.
